Description | A collection of 19 L.C.C. Tramway tickets assembled by an unknown Frenchman during 1914-1915 and mounted on three foolscap paper pages. Fourteen of the tickets contain a different slogan for recruitment to the Army. Each of these are translated into French, with an introduction also in French. A translation of the introduction (by Barry LeJeune) is: "English Tramway tickets with patriotic appeals on the reverse having as their goal to encourage enlistments in 1914 - 1915. " |

The obverse sides of four other tickets are also included plus another ticket with a slogan which duplicates one of the fourteen.
